About The Artist
Robert Patricio, also known by his given name “Bear,” was born into Acoma Pueblo in June 1976. At the age of eight, he began learning the traditional methods of hand-coiling pottery from his great-grandmother, the esteemed Marie Z. Chino. Today, Robert is known for his expertise in hand-coiled, hand-painted pottery, which reflects both his deep respect for tradition and his personal artistic vision.
